My 1963 MD1 has water in the oil, enough to make the oil look like gray pudding. It will still start, but not run. What would be the likely cause? |

Rusted exhaust, blown head gasket, cracked block, if it doesn't start you may be filling the exhaust with water and it is backing into the engine. |

Pull the exhaust manifold. If the leak is not apparent pull the head. If the leak is not apparent the leak is in the cylinder. How much do you want to invest to cure a fifty year old engine? I love those old MD series but I do believe they have out lived their useful lives. |
