I just bought a model S sn 13494 engine. It is missing the carburetor and the control linkage and some other things I suppose.I would like to find the Hp, literature, parts and operation Info and any other information that may be helpful in getting this engine running again.I have pictures but they are too large at this time and I don't know how to reduce them in size. This site looks very informative and I look forward to it's ability to provide me much of the information to put this engine back in running order. This is my first venture into marine engines as all my other engines are general purpose farm engines except for my 15 HP REID oilfield engine. Thanking all of you for any and all information you might be able to make available to me.If I find a way to resize photos I will Post them here. |

Have a look at http://www.oldmarineengine.com/discus/messages/3431/108423.html You'll see a picture of the control rods and the control quadrant. That should get you started. Ultimately, you'll probably end up getting the quadrants cast, I'll bet. I'll see if I can dig up close up pictures of the quadrant from my engine. miro |
