Anyone ever have a need to hook up two T coils for a 2-cylinder engine which fire at the same time ? I have that 2 cylinder Gray where both cylinders fire at the same time (horizontally opposed). If the coils are unbalanced, one cylinder fires preferentially. Will try to balance the current draw on the existing setup (parallel)but I do not see any reason one could not wire them in series......The engine has a "commutator" on the crankshaft....

No problem. Hook battery + to first coil in string. connect timer contact of first coil to battery terminal of second coil. connect spark plug wires to plugs one and two. Jumper contacts on first coil so vibrator on second coil acts as a master vibrator. This is also a good way to check for poor coil. If you were a kid back before WWII this was a great way (we thought) to get more power for our totally illegal spark rigs and crystal set receivers.

Goodday. I don't see any advantage to hooking them up in series --when in parallel they would get power at the same time,--if they don't fire at the same time I would think the same thing would happen when hooked in series? ???? perhaps it's just a case of adjusting the points on the spark coils. Good luck! Larry Healey
