For the Aussie guys. On behalf of a chap in Queensland, Oz - He has a twin 7HP Tasman and is asking what type of carby was fitted to this engine. It has a manifold tapped 3/4" BSP. |

Refer to the earlier thread on the Tasman for models and others who can make some comment. If it helps, at the Australian Heritage Fleet Museum our 4HP Tasman has an Alpha/Schebler carby. This is consistent with an ad from a 1958 issue of Seacraft. |

Yes John the Twin Tasman would have a 3/4 Alpha carby . This is the Australian version of the American Schebler. Not hard to find as they were used on many engines in this country. The twin will be interesting ....I am going to restore a single cylinder Tasman engine . |

Thanks friends,appreciated. I will pass the info on, and try to get a pic of the twin for this site. Incidentally, our American colleagues might like a few images of our boats/outings etc, and some of their boats too? Thoughts Andrew? |
