I wonder if the Goodell of Zina Goodell is the same Goodell as in Goodell Pratt, the makers of hand tools and small machinery, located in Greenfield Mass. How far is Greenfield from Salem?
(a not yet thawed out Cannuck - boy, she's been a cold one this year . . )

Greenfield is in Central Western MA. Salem is on the coast north of Boston
