I just had my Birthday again, so I had to buy myself a proper Birthday present. I wanted a rare made in Minnesota motor, and I think this one qualifies. Open crank, front exhaust, external thrust bearing. Probably not original flywheel or carb, and homemade cooling tank.
someone installed a wood bearing.
Thrust bearing that came with it.

Bill- Damn nice piece of Minnesota Mesabi-grade iron! Good present.... I certainly would not shooo it out of my stable. I am assuming it was a fresh-water engine all its life? The hole in the bottom of the crankcase casting was no doubt for helping to bore the cylinder eh?? |
