Looking for a single cylinder version of the pictured engine. Wouldn't necessarily need the Fairbanks-Grant Tag. An engine built in Ithaca would be similar, in that I'm not sure they made their own engines. I have a 1905 era Launch for which I would like to find an appropriate engine. I couldn't get the attachment to load in the classified so I posted here. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. I've had this launch for more than 12 years and I would like to restore it and get it into the water. |

* Keith, interesting project, the engine above post sure looks like Barber,Syracuse,Parker,Van Epps heritage ? Four marine eng mfgrs reference names in Ithaca,Ny and were intermingled from a quick look ! 1. Fairbanks-Grant Manufacturing Co. 2. Champaign Brothers 3. Ithica Gasoline Engines 4. Thomas & Grant references appear to be 1904-1913 ? I'll see what I can come up with ! 1905 ** |
