Hi! I got an old marine engine from a military base here in Finland. Anyone here knows nothing of its history and there is no manufacturer´s name/plate or anything. If you know where its made or any other info I would really appreciate that. http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/2323/01082009002y.jpg http://img12.imageshack.us/img12/1061/01082009003.jpg http://img14.imageshack.us/img14/9909/01082009004.jpg http://img36.imageshack.us/img36/6641/01082009005.jpg http://img14.imageshack.us/img14/8116/01082009007.jpg All specs I know are these: - 2 cylinder 2-stroke - Carburettor: The Schebler model D - Magneto: Ruthardt (used in british motorcycles also) - It looks a lot like Gray Motor model "U", but there is also a lot of differences like intake manifold, ignition and water pump. I tried to fire it and got few backfires, but I still got a lot of work to do until it works. Its in good condition and everything works. Its just that I´ll have to get the ignition timing right I´d like to get it work and find a decent boat where to mount it... Thanks for everyone! |

Hello, The Magneto you have on this engine has spark 90' apart, your engine requires 180' sparks , Would like to trade your Magneto ? i have others that will make your motor run , Regards , Stuart. |
