Henry R Stickney had a small machine shop in Portland, Maine, and built 2 cycle gasoline and 1 cyl steam engines in 1901-02 (Std Catalog American Cars).
The 1905 Mechanical Index listed him under "Marine Engines" (Googlebooks) and he has a 1911/12 patent for a gasoline engine.
These apparently have NO CONNECTION with the Charles A Stickney farm engines built in St Paul, Minn, altho Charles' people had Maine roots.
Sound familiar, or ring any bells with anyone?? So far, I've found no evidence of production, except for a few apparently hand built ones.
Any comments appreciated; feel free to reply Bud [email protected]
