Looked at the strauble engine tags on file and they start at #512 and with Keiths post the red one is #2801 Thats 2289 engines mfgd ?? also the #2801 still has an oiler on it so what year did they discontinue oilers ? Maybe a kerosene engine that still required external oiing ?? Lots more to know about this Old Marine Engine Co. and its engines ? ** |

Bill, What is the serial number of the two cylinder with the flywheel. It's interesting to see the changes in water piping and oiler location from early to late. Keith |

Keith, The flywheel Twin has SN 1802 on it. I always assumed tha the original Straubel carbs were taken off, and replaced by the Schebler. |
