I found this engine in a junk pile and thought I'd grab it. It's missing a few parts so I'm wondering if anyone knows what make it is or model? Much help appreciated.Thanks. |

That looks more like a flat belt pully than a flywheel. |

I don't know if you can see it in the picture but theres points in there and it does look like it's missing the flywheel. |

Boy, Looks like the original flywheel is gone and the cylinder is turned around? (usually the removable plate is in the front to allow the C/S and flywheel to be removed together. Does the "spark plug" hole pass through to the combustion chamber? |

Doesn't it have to other wise the spark plug wouldn't do anything on the ignition stroke because the piston would be in the way. |

Mostly I was thinking that maybe this was some kind of belt driven/water cooled compressor but since there are no reed valves I guess not. I do see the shaft with out a flw wheel has a taper and what looks loke a threaded end (to hold a flywheel?) There is a gas vapor channel on the cylinder opposite the "exhaust pipe". It must be a 3 port? (I hate to admit it but I can not keep those terms straight but the carb does not lead directly into the crank case and no check valve is needed). |

Long ago I bought a Truscott one cylinder M&B. It had a bailer flywheel cobbed up on the shaft that should have turned the prop shaft. I was told the owner belted it to a wood saw. In those days I guess you used what you had. |

There is a chance that this was a stationary engine. The base is level I think its a elephyno sound it out. |
