The Red Wing factry would be to the right of the first photo. You can see the bridge in the background. and, a photo of the levee being filled in.

Here's some scrap paper I saw on ebay. One of you didn't happen to buy it, cause I would really like a copy of it.

here is a picture of a coal plant from the company I work for. I hope you don't mind me getting off topic, as this picture probably holds little interest to old motor fans. I can't remember if downtown St. Paul or Mpls.

Bill, on the first picture the grain elevators and malt house was Red Wing Malt Co. It was purchsed by ADM and operated as a division of Fleischmann Malting Co. then later as Fleischmann-Kurth Malting Co. them as division of Froedtert Malting Co, a joint venture with ADM and then was closed. I was a Corporate Engineer for Kurth, Fleischmann-Kurth, ADM and Froedtert from 1974 through 2000 and spent considerable time working on the facility. |

Here is a picture from the top of the present Grain elevator, looking South down the river at the bridge and Barn's Bluff. A dang bird got in the way, but it's the only picture from there I have.
