My 4-85 has a smooth oil sump drainhole about 3/8" in diameter. I have examined it pretty closely and I don't see any sign of threads. What type of hole should this block have for a drain? I could probably tap it to a 1/2" 20 and use an automotive plug. Mick Ridout [email protected] |

I have seen an elbow in pans that sit low in a boat, they have a nut inside to pull tight and seal. The other end of the elbow has hose sticking out to the side so you can get the oil out. |
