What is the normal rotation of a Gray 4 cylinder?
CW or CCW?
Is that viewed from the flywheel end?
Does that mean a right or left hand prop?
I have the right size and pitch prop, but it is LH. If right hand is normal, I don't suppose you can just run it with the tranny in reverse, can you?

I am new to your site, but full of hope! I have an old Chris Craft boat with a 4-cyl gas Gray Marine Four-85 engine, and it is giving me starting problems. Could anyone advise me where I could obtain the ignition specs as well as the timeing procedure and related specs for this engine??
A manual that would describe the coil, distributor, etc., would really make my problem a lot easier.
An advice you have will be appreciated. Thanks Doug |
