Hi all, My trusty Volvo is now acting up. I've done the rebuild kit on the Solex dual carbs. But can't seem to get it to run smoothly untill @3000 revs. I've got to pump the throttle to keep er going. If I disconnect the fuel line, no difference. It'll run similar till fuel in carbs is used. I didn't "sync" the carbs when I did the rebuild, but don't know that that would cause this problem. I'm wondering if these carbs just "wear" out, jet's, linkage bushing, etc..? Timing is pretty much on target. Any suggestions? Thanks, Tim |

fishman, This discussion board is intended for "antique marine inboards" of the style generally made before about 1940. You will probably have a better chance of getting your Volvo Penta AQ130C questions answered at the MarineEngine.com board in the Volvo Penta category. See this link. Thanks. Andrew |
