I need some help, I had a seacock leak resulting in a submerged P-60. I am trying to locate a mobile mechanic in the Annapolis area to give me a hand. So far I have drained the oil removed the plugs and turned the motor over by hand to try to move the new oil around in the motor. Any help would be more than appreciated. |

Dont, forget the reverse gear it is not lubricated via the engine sump. Pump it out and wash down with kerosene then refill to about 1" below the aft shaft where it penatrates the aft portion of the reverse gear. Use SAE #30 Non Detergent motor oil. |

I must say I am a happy Palmer owner. Sidney Smith from Smith Corp Marine stopped by my boat last weekend and in about 4 hours time Sid had my P60 purring like a kitten after being totally submerged in salt water. To anyone in the Baltimore bay area who may need help I would and do highly recommend him. |
