I have been collecting ford model t cars for some time. a friend sold me an engine it is a one cylinder ford model t engine, i think. every thing looks ford alothough not a marking on it, it will use a cut head gasket. etc, i can"t seem to find a picture to match up so i can start looking for a small wood boat to put it in find a prop shaft ,etc My dream is to have a model t eara boat that i can use and trailor behind one of my t"s. i can e mail pictures etc. if some one would be willing to help me at all?? thanks Cully [email protected] |

The best deal is take a standard T ford engine with its planatary reverse gear and straight through drive in high. Thats the way many old timers used them on the lakes up in NH when I was growing up. Great little unit and no messing about trying to cut down the engine and finding a suitable reverse gear. Use the hand brake for nuetral and step on reverse for reverse. You will need a jacket water pump driven off the fan belt pulley. |
