my yanmar yse 12 starts with a pressure of 24 psi but drops to 7 psi when warmed up is this normal? |

baboo, Most engines run at 30-35 warm and higher when cold. Generally older engines have less pressure as the bearings wear. What viscosity of oil are you using? Eddie |

My 12 horse 1 cylinder Yanmar (circa 1980) engine has run way on two occasions,once in the beginning of the season and once at the end last year. I would like to avoid this horrorfying experience again. Any tips on what causes the problem and how to avoid it? |
