Hi everyone. I know this isn't really an antique engine, but I'm wondering if anyone can point me to any info on it. I'm having trouble finding specifications. This board is really good. I have a Buda DA marine engine that I originally found parts for on this board. Any info about the Perkins 6.305 would be appreciated! Thanks, Dave |

I don't see those numbers in my books either. There used to be a 4-302 or 310,but they don't show in the new books and they were 4 cylinders. Are you certian about your numbers? |

If that 0 were a 6 it would fit the numbering system perfectly. The 6 365 is the new modern version of the old AT6 354.The 6-365 feature a verticle injection pump and a row of 6 freeze plugs on the right side, instead of the 2 rectangle cover plates. |

Thanks for your replys! I am thinking of buying this engine, and the seller assures me that that is its designation. I guess it was replaced by the 6.354. This is a pre '71 engine. I guess Massey-Furgeson purchased and used the engine in tractors in the 70's Anyone able to confirm any of this? Dave |

That sounds to me mighty like the old "P-6" fitted in "fordson -Major" tractors and a popular re-power for trucks. I have info on them. There was also the "R" series, slightly bigger again. |

Anyone have an idea of HOW it might be possible to get a replacement "kill" solenoid for a 6 cylinder marine Perkins? It sort of got fried when the boat sank. Got the boat up and the motor running but it's a tad difficult to stop it! Elliot Miller Miami, Fla. 305 534 1313 or [email protected] Thanks a million and good luck |
