anybody know the adress and name of the club in florida that has a kahlenberg running and have the sound of it on thier website? |

Living in Florida I was interested in a response to your inquiry, There is an exceptional Kalenberg
Marine engine at the "Florida Flywheelers" in Fort Meade. It was owned and donated a few yrs back by a grandson of one of the early prominent and pioneer familys of Miami. The engine was ordered and installed in the first Pilot boat in the port of Miami. The engine was put in excellent running condition at quite an expense before it was donated, but seeing it about six months ago the club wasnt running then, This eng belongs in a Maritime museum but there are none of any consequence in this part of the country ?? |

I also live in Florida, but have recently taken a cruise on a boat that has a (1939) kahlenberg engine. I took some video from my digital camera. I have a short video with sound I could email you, if you care to have it? |

The next size larger, but that takes it from 3,500 lbs to 5,450 lbs. 20-24 HP to 30 to 36 HP. It's about 18" longer. It appears not to have been run since being restored. |

Congratulations on getting this one - thats a serious Old Marine Engine. Might have to build an extension on the barn for it !

well andrew i guess i may of been the one to spark the interest in kalenburgs.they do deserve the reconition for they made a large impact on the great lakes and during the war2 .in one of kah,sales flyers it is said that when mcarther left korea he rquested a boat with a kal in it because it was so reliable! |
