Here is info from the Mystic Seaport Event page on their annual Antique Marine Engine Exposition. January 2004 Dear Engine Collector: This letter is to invite you to join us at our lucky Thirteenth Annual Antique Marine Engine Exposition. The Exposition will be held on August 21st and 22nd, 2004, in the Shipyard area on the Museum grounds here in Mystic, Connecticut. The hours will be from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM on Saturday and from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM on Sunday. Please mark your calendar with these dates; for you the Exhibitors make this show possible. The Antique Marine Engine Exposition is an invitational show and pre-registration is required. You are encouraged to bring as many engines as you wish, but we request that you provide us with a separate data form for each engine you exhibit. Our web site (www.mysticseaport.org) has additional information. The display of Engines in boats is encouraged. This year the age eligibility of the exhibits has been expanded to include pre-1962 engines. To facilitate planning and staffing, we would greatly appreciate your early registration. Information on nearby campsites can be found on the reverse side of the Exhibitor Information Form. We would like to remind you of our show policies. *Please do not post For Sale or Wanted signs in the exhibit area. A bulletin board for exhibitors will be provided in the coffee area where you can post these signs or notices. We will also host our usual swap meet for exhibitors from 7:00 AM until 9:00 AM on Sunday. *Please do not exhibit handouts or posters for other events, except in the coffee area. *Steam and model engines need not meet the pre-1962 age requirement. *Participating boats in the water or ashore may be constructed of any material. *Friends of exhibitors and other engine enthusiasts may not enter through the Shipyard gate. They should enter through the Visitor s Reception Center. *Parking in the Shipyard area is restricted to those with special needs (handicapped). Please let us know of your special needs so we can make suitable arrangements. *Museum policy does not allow for outside vendors or consumption of alcoholic beverages. *Please respect our good neighbor policy by not parking on the neighborhood streets. There are plenty of parking spaces in the two Museum Parking lots. Each exhibitor will receive admission for two on each day of the show, plus two free tickets for a half-hour ride on our own steamer Sabino. There will be no judging of models, engines, or boats, but each exhibitor will receive a Commemorative plaque of the event. Engines can be left in the Shipyard area overnight Friday and/or Saturday. There will be a security officer assigned to the exhibit area all night. Boats will be tied up at the floats in the same vicinity. Please feel free to contact me at 860-572-5302,ext 5061 with any questions you may have. Sincerely, Dana Hewson Clark Senior Curator for Watercraft VP Watercraft Preservation and Programs |

When the tide gets up to my place Florida will be no longer above sea water. I grew up in NH. and learned you don't buy property likely to be flooded. |
