Could anyine tell me what the original Engine oil requirement was for this engine. It is a 1957 Gray 6cyl. flat head. It is in a lyman boat which was built in Sandusky, Ohio

I'm not sure what you mean when you say "oil requirement"... do you mean type, capacity, oil pressure...?

The Handbook says (for all the 4-6 cylinder models):
quote:

...good grade of S.A.E. 30 oil, changing the oil every 50 hours of operation... (also)... pressure at full throttle - 40 pounds


For the model 100 it say "Approx Oil Capcity Qts: 9".
