Not that I am aware of... but I could be wrong... Gray most commonly used a Continental block for their 4 and 6 cylinder gas engines. Chrysler built their own block. |

Here is a note and photos sent to me on this subject:
quote:I had sent you a note the other day, which I am copying below. You replied that you didn't know of any connection between Gray Marine and Chrysler. I am sending you some pictures. The engine says Gray Marine, but I was told it was a Chrysler engine. Please let me know what you think. Below is the body of our previous e-mail. We are having problems with that one so please response to this one. Also, please let me know that you received 6 photos. Berry Taylor I have a Chrysler Marine Engine 250 Cid V-8 (probably 1956-61). The engine plate on this indicates Gray Marine, M3500. However, representatives from Federal Mogul have indicated that it is a Chrysler engine. I need a Valve Grinding Set which I understand includes head gaskets, exhaust manifold, intake manifold gasket, center head gasket. Can you provide any information for me on this or where I can obtain the parts I need?

Based on the photo's in the above posting. I have found a match to the engine remains in my project. I need as much info as possible. Most importantly, are there aftermarket Heads, Intake/Carb setups for these motors? Or, how available/cost-effective are salvaged parts? My motor came sans parts listed. |
