I'm looking for info on the Palmer I-H V-8 intake manifolds .
Can anyone tell me if they were cast out of aluminum or castiron ?
Thanks

I have seen both Aluminum and cast iron. I guess it depends on the year and model. Does it have a single 4 barrel carb or 2 side drafts? I think the side draft manifolds were alum.

No pics sorry. It was in the 70's that I last saw one. It used 2 Carter YF sidedraft carbs. One facing forward and one facing aft. Gray also had a similar manifold for their 327 Rambler V8.

The intake I am looking for is actually for a I-H Scout II with a 392 ci. engine .
I read on another bulletin board that Palmer used the I-H 392 and that the intake manifolds might have been cast aluminum .
I-H never equipped there light trucks with aluminum intakes. So I was thinking that Palmer may have cast there own for the marine version of the 392 .
Thanks
