I have posted six pages of photos from the Calvert Engine Show 2004. Thank you Ernie and Mike for sending them in. If you have questions about specific photos of engines, boats, or people, post them below and hopefully someone that was at the show can provide additional info. Its sort of like where's waldo trying to find my picture in there.Someone did get a picture of my backside none of my engines.The next to last picture had a sign saying it was an unknown.I was expecting someone to ID it,but no name ever showed up.There was another engine like it with at tag there too. |

Calvert 2004 My notes on these similar engs say 1.Detroit 3 large holes in flywheel 2. Sandow 3 large holes in flywheel 3.Columbia 3 large 3 Small holes in flywheel 4. Termatt & Monahan 4 large holes in flywheel This photo is a Termatt & monahan in the St Michaels Museum note the grease cup on the crankshaft to lube rod bearing, the only eng to use this of the 4 makers above . |

On page 4 the fourth picture down is a red engine that looks the same. |

I wonder why more makers did not drill out their crankshafts for greasing the big end? The 1903 Truscott I have does not have a seperate grease cup for the rod but has a connecting passage from the front main to the big end bearing for grease. T |

Page 4 the 7th picture down seems to show a group of people standing over what looks to be an inverted (??) multi cylinder engine? (or it could be a cream seperator and my imagination is running away)Any one know or have a better picture? Tom |
