Beautiful photos. Looks like you were up early in the morning for some of those. What engines did you buy? |

It was fun running my 2 Palmers. An NL1 and YT 1 The Palmer NL1 was the smallest T head engine that Palmer built. The YT 1 has most likely been to more of the Mystic shows than any engine from year one to now. It is the Barby and Dick Day memorial engine. It has never been in a boat and was found by Dick back in the 70s as an NOS engine. It has only been run at shows. Pic from one of the Calvert shows of Barby's Gilmore Cragg. Here is a pic of an NL sitting next to a ZR. The NL is 3 HP the ZR is 7 HP. |

I bought the United States Bull Dog 5hp 4 stroke (Mystic Seaport Museum artifact TMP 989, mismarked as a fresh water 2 stroke), and a 2 stroke, 1 lung mystery machine, both incomplete. The Bull Dog is apart and will be in alkali water baths till spring. The mystery motor is the little blue fresh water motor, with metal rescue in the cylinder bore. These engines will get threads in the 1 and 2 lung section, and I'm taking lots of pics. |
