I got my electrical problem solved, much thanks! however, I cannot seem to get any fuel from the carb. The engine will start by pouring gas directly into the cylinders. I did clean the carb which looked good. I am bypassing the fuel pump and sending gas directly to the carb via a pump bulb, and my starter does seem alittle sluggish are these contributing problems? also, what is the configuration of the carb/throttle for starting?
p.s. the crankcase oil is also the trans. oil?!! |

Your manifolds could be blocked or have a hole.Can you choke the carb and hear it suck in gas.Can you spray starting fluid into the intake and make it fire?Throttle should be 1/2 to full open and choke closed to start.Open choke 1/2 when it hits.Open more if it smokes black. |

Yup, the crankcase oil and the transmission oils are usually shared in engines of that era. I believe that it made them easier to manufacture (avoided duplicate oil seals and alignments) |

I have this same engine in my Marinette. How can I find the year model of this engine? The engine # is K2131. Also how about a parts supplier and manual? Thanks for your help.
