My grandfather was with the Corps of Engineers as a diesel engineer from 1927-1959, working on tugboats and workboats all up and down the North & South Carolina Inland Waterway. I have come across a box of his work materials that includes dozens of manuals, catalogs, schematics and instruction sheets for the engines and other equipment he worked on, from that time period. There is no sentimental value to our family, but we'd love to see these items get in the hands of interested parties. Examples are: a 1940 schematic of Joes Famous Husky Gear No. 476Y & 478; a catalog from Wolverine Crude Oil, for Marine Engines, not dated; a Gray Marine Diesel part/price book from 1944. I have found good homes for many of the materials, and the above descriptions are just a sample of what I have left. Is anyone interested in the items listed, or hearing more about what else I have? I will ship them at no cost to you! Let me know.... |

The Calvert Marine Museum would most likely be the best place for them. Contact Sherry Reid at the Museum. https://www.calvertmarinemuseum.com/ Hope this helps Ernie |
