Looks like there is a brass ID plate on the motor mount under the oil cooler. What is on it? |

Do you have the original head? IF so, does it have casting numbers or stamped information on it? A few pics of the head would probably be helpful. |

The Chrysler 8 was the largest of the Chrysler flat head marine engines. the line started with the six cylinder "Ace", about 235 CID and 95 hp. Next up was the "Crown", 265 CID and 125 hp. The largest was the "Royal" flat head eight. There were slight variations of each, but those were the basic ones. All three were based off the Chrysler automotive and truck engines. Basic engine parts should be fairly easy to find if you look in the automotive and truck world and not the marine world. ..... I have a pair of Crowns in my boat. |

Hi, I found a head for the engine, but after opening my exhaust manifold I found out that in the chamber the split part has rusted away! Can this be repaired you think? Maybe there is one available on the internet somewhere second hand? Anybody knows where to find one in good condition?
