I just picked up a Chinook Seattle 1:1 sliding transmission, but it is missing some internal parts. Does anyone have any info on where I could get parts/manuals etc for this unit? thanks!

What a neat versatile, compact, inline, 1:1, island-box! Surely there'd be a market for these among us putt putt boaters! Does anyone know of a similar box still available today? - from another application? I suggested in another thread that possibly something like a 'reversing' tread-tapping chuck, if a big-enough one exists? [but this may not provide a neutral?] It's hard to find something of the right size that Doesn't have an unwanted reduction, or dropped-output shaft. |

Probably built to go behind the cast iron Briggs & Stratton engines so popular in open boats in the 40s to 60s, at least around here. The last of the clinker built rental boats with those engines were still around here in the early 80s in fact. What is the distance between the bolt holes on the mounting shoulders? |

I know it's been four years, but would you want to part with your Chinook? I just acquired a whole boat with that transmission and I sure could use the parts. |
