I have an MD11c 1977 Volvo 2 cyl diesel on my boat. It has an MSB model reverse gear (xmission) of the same year. The seal around the shift control (actuator) mechanism is leaking oil when shifting gears. I am looking for the specific part number for the entire shift actuator mechanism assembly. There is no part number on the plate of the shift mechanism and there are similar looking ones on ebay but prices are high and I want to be sure I am buying the correct one. It is weird but neither the workshop manual nor technical description do identify any part number for the entire mechanism only subparts. I am afraid to take apart the shift mechanism that is installed due to seeing there is a spring pin in there that I don't think I will be able to get out and I might mess up the entire mechanism. I would feel safer If I could find the entire shift mechanism assembly but am at a loss due to no part number for it. If anyone knows about this help would be appreciated. |
