Good afternoon all, I am looking at buying a sail boat that comes with a Kermath Sea Cub engine. The boat is a 1975 Irwin 28mk4 but from what I can tell, the engine is not original and much older. It's green, has the ID plate on the transmission housing -Serial number 460999 Code ZXBM 6 Owner had it apart when I looked at it and showed me the "Hercules" on the valves. Said the bearings were in good shape but he had never personally started or ran the engine. Is there a date code in the serial number or on the engine block that I might better identify this engine? |
