Can anyone assist with identification of this little engine? It has water cooling at the top of the cylinder and fins for air cooling on the lower portion. No obvious location for mounting a water pump. The base appears to be convertible for different applications. Blair . . |

Cool engine, no idea what it is though. Wonder if it's an early auto engine, horseless buggy? Kev |

Probably a water pump engine. No thrust bearing and no water pump for the engine, plus the mixer input would prevent an attachment for a marine application. An interesting engine nonetheless miro |

A few differences but it resembles an Empire cream separator engine. Flywheel had vanes for air cooling. Warm water was used for clean up. Probably not an Empire but similar. |

* I searched this engine when first posted, in my data base, "finned" had 27 names, "air cooled had 24 some overlap, searched each one but none are like this eng in question ! I didn't put this in the unknown file, I agree with Doug in above post that this is probably not a marine engine ?? * |

Thanks again guys. I think youre on the right track, Doug. I looked up the Empire engine which is quite close. |
