Hey everyone! I havent posted in quite some time! The engine in running great and is installed in my 61 Century Ski Dart. (see below for a link to a Google Photos Album with pics and videos).

My questions today are more about how the sensors and gauges work for this engine. Please keep in mind that I am not very mechanically savvy and this is my very first engine rebuild.

Water Temp Sending Unit - mine is inserted into the thermostat housing member at the front end of the engine. How does this unit work? Is it a sensor that will tell me a temp once connected to a gauge or will this simply trigger a warning light? My gauge cluster has a warning light but no gauge I could read a temp from.

Oil Pressure Sending Unit - I believe this inserts into the external oil lines that run from the block to the external oil cooler. Wire from this would connect to gauge. Does this sound right? Please see the pic attached.

You probably can get good telephone support from Parry Automotive - Jeff Titsall.
The outfit rebuilds many old ( somewhat) modern engines for "woodies" in Muskoka

You are correct as to where the sensors go. Electric sendors like that may be either for a gauge or for an "on-off" as for a light or alarm. No way to tell from a picture.

The engine looks great!
