Hi - I bought an old boat to restore a dozen years or so ago. Long story short: after a devastating traffic accident the restoration has never happened and the boat isn't really worth the effort any longer.

However, the boat came with a Palmer NR2 (serial number 1830323) that had been found in a barn hardly ever used, turning over, was printed and balanced and running like a top when I aquired the package.

The engine is out of the boat and has been sitting under a tarp in my boat yard since. The flywheel still turns over. With some attention to surface rust at the plugs and similar, by someone knowledgable, she should be fine again. Transmission attached. (I have the shaft and prop too).

At the time I bought the project, the seller told me the engine was worth the price alone. (I paid $5000 for all.). While I completely doubted that then, and even more so now, Id sure appreciate some opinions from folks who know about these critters. I need to sell off some of my projects and Im no engine guy.

Have photos.

Thanks in advance.

I'm sure others will weigh in, but eBay is a pretty good indicator of values. You can always used fixed-price with make-an-offer; no offers you're probably asking too much.
