Hello. This my first post here. Could someone please identify these inboards and point me toward more information on them? Not pictured is a nice brass carburetor that was on the blue one. Neither have rods or pistons, but otherwise, the blue one appears to be fairly complete. Is there any chance of finding a rod and piston? If so, I'd like to see if I could get it running.
I'm into antique cars, hit and miss engines, and antique outboards, so this is a logical extension of my interests.

Hal,
They are of the Detroit Style. Fair amount around, so you could get lucky. Search "Detroit" for other post. They have been talked about extensively. Ernie could step in here with more detail. |

Looks like a early model Detroit and a late model Detroit. Early engine has pipe plug for crank case inspection hole. Late model has the square hole with steel plate and four bolts for crank case inspection. You might be able to build one engine from the two, maybe.. |

You can do a search on this forum and find a lot of information on your engines. Just find the search at the top right then type in Detroit Engine Works. Also you can find a lot of info on Detroits on my website click below.

I am looking for some good looking larger engine parts in brass for an Prop Engine we are making...
Vintage fairly unrecognizable parts that the average person wouldn't recognize..
Need to purchase parts right away..

Your picture is a duplex steam pump.
Not sure what you are looking for but you won't find much steam stuff on this board
