Hello. We are liquidating an estate and found this old motor in a back shed. We are stumped as to what it is. All the writing is in Japanese/Chinese etc.. Any ideas as to what it is or if it is worth anything. |

Ken Kaumeyer has a similar motor, we ran it at the Calvert show, he lives near the Calvert museum. |

it is a ww2 Japanese outboard we have one at the Mystic seaport Museum the Japanese symbols are industrial Japanese |

Going back 8 or 10 years ago there was an American gent living in Japan who was an engine collector and restorer. If you can locate him through Smokstak or wherever he might be your best option. If it is a military unit it is going to have collectable value as militaria more than as an outboard. The stand is made out of an old shopping cart, so that won't be any loss! |

Go to AOMCI, there is an article about them in the quarterly member magazine in the last year or so. |
