Hello again ! I have been away from here for a while, I recently bought a Gray Phantom 4 45 here in the UK , it had been sat in a brick shed for over 40 years and was in a sorry state , but it was cheap enough , everything was seized up , I have managed to free everything up but could only remove two pistons intact , the other two had fused to the bores and broke coming out , so I am looking to replace these but I,m at a loss as to what the part number could be ? I understand Continental made the engine , mine is the one with the distributor in the head , if anyone could point me in the direction of some parts that would be great. I will post some pictures when I re-learn how too . Many thanks Nev |

I believe the Continental number should be cast into the block (close to the bottom near where the oil pan bolts on). That should then help you track to a Continental parts list. |

I found this on the cylinder head Y 400 A The engine serial number is on a plate on the gear box 81506. There is no letter prefix on the serial number . |

Neville, Read Ned Lloyds comments slowly.. Look for the Continental numbers down near the pan... |

Good morning all ...... I had another look as suggested , not as clearly cast as the cylinder head marks but it's the same Y400 A this is marked close to the fuel pump, at the other end and higher up is marked K 1 U Thanks for looking |

A Gray 4-45 should be 91CID. Zollner book says 508 |
