I puchased a P5 around 30 years ago with the intention of restoring it as a retirement project. I am now retired for 20 years and finally have time to have a go. The engine appears to be complete but it also appears to be seized. The manual starter is free but the flywheel will not move. Any advice on freeing the piston would be appreciated. |

I have since found that the piston was OK and I was able to remove the cylinder , the problem was lower down. I have dismantled the engine into its componant parts and my problem now is to split the crankcase. I have managed to get a small gap but I am concerned that I might crack the casting if I apply too much pressure. Any advice appreciated. |
