Here is another. It is a smaller sized engine That I'll have to pull some measurements from. It is a bit different in that the cylinder and crankcase is all one casting. The piston and rod goes in from the bottom via the access plate.

I apologize for the poor pictures. I was hanging onto pallet racking with one hand and taking the pictures with a cell phone with the other hand. I believe this is a Canadian engine. At least I got it out of Canada.

Good post, with over 30 copper top engines in data base none match the crankcase design of this twin ?

Put Canada Copper top in search and came back with 7 mfgrs, looked at each one and no match

So this one will go in Uknown file for now !

This is an Unknown copper top that is similar but different lower casting ?

Paul Gray has this unknown, I searched it a while ago but no name yet, He emailed this note that may have clues to its origin ?

It is a 2-cycle, 3-port, 4" bore and stroke, aluminum crankcase. Cast iron cylinders and Pistons, head bolts are 1/2-12 so that puts it pre-1907. Funky three-piece rods...see pictures.. Missing the intake, exhaust and flywheel. Flywheel is tapered hub (pattern for one in background) These are places in the scavenging passage for rotating valves to throttle it, but not drilled out. No nameplate or places where one would have gone. Everything is matched stamped to indicate assembly order. I'm guessing first, early horseless carriage, second, marine or third, aero application.??? Very little wear, crank and bearings pristine I'm guessing a prototype...but for what?

Thanks Paul
