I have a 1941 original Gray Marine Phantom 4-75 that needs an intake manifold and exhaust manifold (two pieces). I have seen the new one piece for $520 but am wondering if anyone knows if these parts may be available elsewhere used or new. I also need the gaskets. Thanks in advance. |

Try calling or emailing Kim Ramont at Gray Marine Parts his phone number is 630 485-5007 his email is [email protected]. He deals with all Gray Marine parts. I got my NOS exhaust manifold for a 1941 Gray 4-75 from him. |

Thank so much for the manifold info! I now have a timing problem. I removed the distributor, put it back in but I think my rotor is now misaligned. I need to find TDC and align the rotor. Does anyone have experience in doing this? There are no timing marks anywhere. |

Glad to learn there's other Phantom 4-75 owners. I have one, here's my situation. Page 39 Gray Marine Maintenance Handbook form 659 and 665 ietm 4, last sentence "be sure the breaker arm lift is on the correct side of the cam to correspond with cam rotation, which is CLOCKWISE on all Gray Marine engines". My 4-75 cam rotation is COUNTER CLOCKWISE. Is there a problem with my engine or is there a miss spelling in the book? My engine will not maintain an idle below 900 rpm and is difficult to start. In attempting to solve that problem I discovered the above. Are they related? |
