Robert,

Your answers were on the tags. They are both fairly common engines and make good runners.
Information on the Detroit can be found:
http://antiquengines.com/Detroit_Engine_Works_Menu.htm

Scroll down to the Marine engine section for lots of information.

The Gray shares characteristics of US Falcon and Bridgeport engines.

Thanks to everyone! I am amazed at the help and information that the members provided.

A Classic engine builder came and picked them up To restore. Once I get the video I will try to post it.

Thanks
Robert

Generous man! Someone got a nice score there, particularly the very complete and original looking Detroit, a much older engine than the Gray/Universal.
