The last guy who worked on my Chris Craft 327F installed autolite 85 plugs. I'm not sure they are a good match. What plugs wouled you recommend for this engine (in a 59 Lyman Sleeper). Thanks |

Thanks for the fair question eddie When last run (August), ran rough even when plugs were relatively new. Also a mechanic said that he thought delco plugs were a better match for the CC 327. Just looked at them prior to spring lite-off and they look irregularly dry and sooted on same plug. And the factory specified Champion UJ-6s don't show any availability from my usual sources. |

Have you recently done an electrical tune up ? Plugs misfire due to fouling or improper gap. A hair line crack in the porcelain insulator will also cause a misfire. Generally, a misfire is somewhere in the ignition other than plugs if the plugs are not old. Are ther any characteristics that you notice for instance does it misfire at high speed only, on acceleration only, after it is warmed up. ect. |
