I had a RCA mk 5 version of that. It had a dyno start built into the fly wheel. To go from fwd to reverse ,you turned the engine off ,flicked the switch that controlled the starter winding's, push the start button , and the motor ran backwards. I would rather have a gearbox.Turning motors on and off when maneuvering can have nasty moments . The dyno start made for a much more compact motor ,no alternator etc. Good little motor ,but the alloy head and manifold had asprin like characteristics in salt water. Todd |
