This engine belongs to Dick Day. It has never had a timer since he bought it 30 or 40 years ago. When he got it someone was trying to install a rotary timer. It should have a swing handle timer. I brought it up from Maryland last week to fit and install a swing handle timer. The timer handle I got at a show last summer. What it was from I have no idea. It was from a larger engine so I had to make a bushing so it would fit the front main bearing snout. I also made a new insulated contact ring to go on the crankshaft. It works well and the engine does run but needs some further TLC.
From ads I have found on the net I am guessing it to be about 1912.

Great work Ernie, That was one of Barbies engines which I never managed to complete. Bought it at Arcadia about 1960 but never managed to find a swing are timer to restore it with. Barby will be most pleased to see your efforts have paid off. Thank you very much. Dick
