Hmmm - 3/8 in planking - you probably could make 3 of these with the wood used in a Louisiana bateau

In LA , they don't mess around with such flimsy stuff, they make 'em strong and tough!

One encounter with a cypress knee and that Rochester boat wouldn't survive.
