Can anyone tell me what model engine this is? The boat is a Pacific 30, an early fiberglass sloop made in Victoria BC Canada in the mid 60's. Thanks!

Huge help, thanks for the quick response. Do you know how to tell which Universal model? Thinking maybe a 5424, but can't find much in the way of markings aside from the oil weight sticker on the tranny. Also, does anyone know if parts would still be available for an old beast like this? Awesome forum, thanks to all behind it. |

Found the answer to my second question http://www.westerbeke.com/superseded%20parts%20listing/universal%20supersession% 20listing%20august%202014.pdf, assuming it actually is a 5424. Looks like a lot of the parts are still available, but quite a few are also discontinued... we'll see if it's worth saving. |

All the engine parts should be available from Kubota. The Kubota engine number and model is on the block right by the injection pump. It is most likely a D850 or a D950 Parts most likely aren't available for the reverse gear anywhere. I think someone makes a replacement but it is expensive. Hope this helps Ernie |
