Check out the pics of the newest Palmer find.
1938 PNR2 Doesn't need much. I do have to unstick it and I am sure do a valve job however it was a fresh water engine! No it won't be at Calvert. To big to move that far. Besides Mr. Day has the real BIG ones!

It's "unstuck" crankcase cleaned out (inside sludge) valves seated etc. Hopefully tomorrow I will get the heads and intake back on and it should start!

I forgot to mention......It sure is neat to work on a "fresh water" engine! Note the pic above, the water holes are just like new. A rare item here in the North East USA where most of the water is salt. |

It started easily and settled right down to a nice idle. This has to be one of the best running engines I have. It starts with my foot. As long as the compression release is in the start position. This one got no cosmetics. It looks just like it did when I got it. (externally)
It sounds like an old John Deere Tractor.
