Turning Point is a 24 ft launch with a Palmer ZR 1 Some of you may remember her from Mystic a few years back. She has been out of the water for several years. With only normal inspection after being in storage the engine started with only 2 turns of the flywheel. Not that any of us that know these engines would be surprised about that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hxpOLvsACvw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cUkTJ_T2ZnE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vNuScOljqwY |

Ernie: Do you have contact info for her owner? I would like to find out some information on the boat. |

Ned, Send me an e-mail and I will forward your request to him. The boat 24 ft Made ca 1915 in Smithtown,NY If you look up the oyster sloop Nellie at the Mystic seaport she was built by the same builder. Always has had a Palmer single cylinder engine Used as a lobster boat for most of its life. Moved from Stamford, CT to Mystic, CT in the early 70s under its own power. Copper riveted lapstrake construction |
