I got a Ferro 3 HP Special at Calvert this year.
It was missing some carb parts so I modified the Ferro carb top to into an elbow with the oiler mount on top.
Then I machined a piece of brass pipe fitting and longer carb mount stud to move it out away from the engine so a Schebler to be used.
Why???
Schebler carbs and parts are easily available. Ferro carbs and parts aren't

Still looking for a tag. Anyone have an extra Ferro tag of any style?

Very nice work Ernie - does the oiler mean it is pre-1908?

Jamie Hurry, one of the Cajun Guys, has a source for replica name plates - Jamie Hurry <[email protected]> And I would let him borrow one from my Ferro Special

Nice carpeting too - is it kept in your bedroom?
:o)

1 Ferro seemed to use oilers or an oil system later than a lot of the others so I have no idea. It does have an SN on the flywheel. I can post it if it will mean anything to anyone.
2 I have a source for tags. Thanks for the offer.

I need a manifold like Ernie's for a two cylinder Ferro. Anyone have a spare.

And actually that is a combination of James Compact and Shebler parts with some lath time to make them fit together. If it works as I redesigned it there will be no annoying center gasket.

Hi Ernie, no not home yet, leave Lancaster tomorrow back to Newark, then fly from Newark to LA on Wednesday, then fly home Thursday.
We have had a great time here on vacation, seen many different places and enjoyed them all.
Especially enjoyed catching up with you at Mystic and seeing a great variety of engines. Mystic was one go the highlights of our vacation.

Kevin
